Park These Storage Ideas in Your Garage
It’s a Shoe In
Objects like spray-paint cans and cleaning supplies are so easy to misplace. Luckily, with an old, hanging shoe rack, there is a simple storage solution! By putting it in your garage, your shoe rack becomes a new and improved shelf system. Place objects into the pockets for organization, keep your paints color-coded or have your supplies ready to be grabbed, whenever you need them.
Jar for the Course
Nail or screw the tops of plastic jars – like those that peanut butter comes in – to the underside of a shelf for a quick and easy way to store small objects. With everything in it, attach the bottom portion of the jar to the screw-on lid to keep everything in place without spending time shuffling through drawers. Nails, screws, bolts or seeds for your garden, this tip can store all of them, but still make them easily accessible. They’re always just a few twists away.
Stick to It
If you need a way to get things off the ground without taking up precious space, try attaching a magnetic strip to your wall to hang up paintbrushes, tools or anything that you’d like to make sure they stay standing upright. If your items don’t have metal already on them, a piece of stick-on magnet tape will fix that problem and hold them to the strip. For smaller objects, clean out soup cans and place them against the magnetic strip and, voila, instant holders for everyday use.
With these inexpensive and convenient garage organization ideas, you can declutter your garage in no time!
